Donate to The DanO Fund
Give a one-time or recurring gift, in honor of a loved one or simply in the name of ending the stigma of mental illness.
Here are three great reasons to support The DanO Fund:
Since 2009, we’ve raised funds to support organizations that offer mental health resources. We take the time to research mental health nonprofits, to ensure that our funds go toward reputable, effective organizations and programs.
You want your gift to have maximum impact, and we make sure that it does. Often, a single donation will be shared with multiple nonprofits, spreading the gift far and wide. After you donate, we’ll let you know how your gift was applied, and share any details we have about its impact.
We work hard to minimize our expenses. All DanO Fund board members volunteer their time, and we ask our vendors to provide discounts or donate their goods and services whenever possible.
Mental illness is common, treatable, and nothing to be ashamed of. Despite these truths, there’s still a stigma surrounding mental illness. This stigma can make people feel too ashamed to seek help, either for themselves or for loved ones. This shame can lead to feelings of isolation, helplessness, and in some tragic cases—suicide.
The DanO Fund aims to end the stigma of mental illness, open pathways for people to get the help they need, and decrease suicide rates. Together, we can shatter the stigma of mental health issues. We can bring the issue of mental illness out of the shadows and into the light, where it can be clearly seen and addressed. When you donate to The DanO Fund or attend a fundraiser, you join the fight against the stigma of mental illness.
